Fridays are inherently great, but what makes me particularly happy is when I can find an alternate use for something I already have. That is a crafter's dream, right? We walk through the kitchen section of IKEA and realize that their spice jars and racks are PERFECT for holding all of our little embellishments... and so on.<br />
<br />
Today is kind of that way. I am going to teach you to make a Christmas Wreath from a very summer/fall stamp set that we've used before... Painted Harvest. I have a bonus tip for you too! Be sure to check out the video, and then SUBSCRIBE for my YouTube channel... I have been busy creating for you, and have been working on filming all kinds of great projects for you - you are not going to want to miss any of them! If you are receiving this post because you have subscribed to my blog, you may not be able to see the video right away... Just click on the title of the post and it will bring you to the blog post where the video will appear...After the video, be sure to check out the supply list below. A few of the items I have used in the video will be retiring at the end of this month, and are only available while supplies last - so don't delay!<br />

Today we are going to be making some spooky treats! You are going to be the mom bomb when you pull these out on Halloween night to give to all of your little goblins. Best of all, <b>no baking required!</b> These are easy, and you can make them in no time at all.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GBlWYkIdya4/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GBlWYkIdya4?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Although these are made as Halloween treats, imagine how cute they would be for a baby shower, birthday party, or even just a little treat at everyone's place setting this Thanksgiving. The paper you choose will determine the occasion! I'll post a few other fun samples soon so you can see what else you can do with these little gems! Here is what i used to make these:<br />

My favorite NEW color...Welcome to the Thursday focus. Today we are focusing on our favorite NEW color from the brand new catalog... need one? Email me here... In any case, each year Stampin' Up! adds five brand new colors, and retires 5 past colors... This year, the new colors are: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Actually, I really like all of these new colors, but when I opened my box, I was completely drawn to the unlikely Lemon Lime Twist! I know, right?? You are going to love this fresh pop of color! I have made a card for you today using this new color and one of the retiring colors, Watermelon Wonder... and a few other new items!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have used a Lemon Lime Twist designer series paper here, that is in the paper pack that is now available in the new Eastern Palace Suite pack. I have also used the new Lemon Lime Twist ribbon, a new stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous, a brand new punch that makes a great daisy, and some fun new embellishments called Clear Faceted Gems! Small "hop" today - just Robbie and I... Some of the challenges we are running into with our focus is that several of the products we wanted to highlight for you are completely sold out. We don't want to tempt you with items you can't even get if you fall in love with our projects (which I hope you do!) 😏. <br />
<br />
So, Robbie and I changed the "focus" for the week to something you may have seen, but not in any catalogs yet (they are featured in the upcoming catalog! - need a new catalog? Email me here!) I love these shapes, and there are plenty of them in the set. You get a full set of stitched circles, squares, and ovals - perfect for everything! <br />
<br />
Since I am a quilter too (did you know this about me), I love to make "quilted cards". You stick the designers series paper to a cardstock panel, then emboss the whole thing - voila! It looks quilted! Check this out:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will list everything I used below - some is staying, some is retiring (if you love it - you should act fast- you can just click on the photo of the item you like and it will take you directly to my store!)</div>

Today is Wednesday, so we are going to Color Down the Lines! Today's challenge was to make a Mother's Day card using no flowers... Well, my intentions were good! I immediately thought - butterflies! I pulled out one of my old favorite stamp sets, Papillon Potpourri, and thought I would use it before it retires! I also remembered that the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit had a good sentiment that could be adapted for many different occasions - to include Mother's Day! <br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Okay, so here is where I failed... Sure I was just stamping butterflies... but when I finished my card I realized that two of the butterflies actually contain flowers... sorry gang! (also, when I finished the card I dragged my inky thumb across the front by accident - what a mess I am!!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is what I have for you:</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmYwBGBFHU9WB24K4QEnSKZQbIcUNzJbf_dlR5229fIKt3CnnnGRthL1WZ_7EXsqB-15VwMb3WKznvy9TVMEZUE6YSFKZPAn61fZEnj1bDmXzzJgaKENLZuLEEUhjrUiUVF9iotZ8BApML/s1600/image1+%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmYwBGBFHU9WB24K4QEnSKZQbIcUNzJbf_dlR5229fIKt3CnnnGRthL1WZ_7EXsqB-15VwMb3WKznvy9TVMEZUE6YSFKZPAn61fZEnj1bDmXzzJgaKENLZuLEEUhjrUiUVF9iotZ8BApML/s400/image1+%25286%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
eek! and here is the close up of the "flowers"...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEict0ev5lqsgMqpdNQFW3Ch3D6ZML_Fvypfxp-R0CMwh3kEqUN9UQikW8DThtmF5Fc8-NJGvDZWOfpdaIcaZFmkEL1phaF_e7Y6bKvGX85V4CuxMRvfTEtdw_zOVDSG33-n2H86StISdtDD/s1600/image2+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEict0ev5lqsgMqpdNQFW3Ch3D6ZML_Fvypfxp-R0CMwh3kEqUN9UQikW8DThtmF5Fc8-NJGvDZWOfpdaIcaZFmkEL1phaF_e7Y6bKvGX85V4CuxMRvfTEtdw_zOVDSG33-n2H86StISdtDD/s320/image2+%25285%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have used several things that are retiring here, some available while supplies last (elegant butterfly punch), and some will be available (guaranteed) until May 22... and pne of these stamp sets is ONLY available through Paper Pumpkin... This month's kit was amazing - and I happen to have a full spare kit available and can get it to you!! The kit is $20, (plus shipping if you don't live in this area), and included everything you need to make a bunch of fun cards - here's the video that shows how they go together!<br />

It has been forever, right? Well, actually, not so much - it just seems that way... I have had several posts scheduled to run for you while I have been crazy running... but I did it wrong! Be prepared to get a few "back up" posts, as I want to show you all of the stuff I had made for you! <br />
<br />
Right now I want to show you a card I made for a teammate's birthday recently... I used the Dragonfly Dreams bundle, some watercolor pencils, and a whole lot of Wink of Stella!! I love that stuff! <br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguPlyfPMY-2PP3birRry9jsAMfK0mC2X5evTiPYxQl3Rzg_Z69YChE304xPMKfoHRsz4JOSQaZlfmO_ZkLJV1y0DlrmFNO3jZ48LqsLEcD4Q7fCUEaYdsTdrBSgv4P2sGAhjCbIhgfcrOX/s1600/image1+%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguPlyfPMY-2PP3birRry9jsAMfK0mC2X5evTiPYxQl3Rzg_Z69YChE304xPMKfoHRsz4JOSQaZlfmO_ZkLJV1y0DlrmFNO3jZ48LqsLEcD4Q7fCUEaYdsTdrBSgv4P2sGAhjCbIhgfcrOX/s400/image1+%25284%2529.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here is a closer-up of the dragonflies... I will record a quick video for you for Monday to show you a fun watercoloring speed-hack!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibfeFwFLYyAOFHVLjOgoFvfuSxQctaIasUBdM4F1TOT901IlBqjeF-mBkTJWohvgqx_zCPbszx88MuPBpQGmiS-x2i7TP9XmGRFIASjIdghWozUzfGMILCyLMk1gmoLyrHyzVlVLp1xvbl/s1600/image2+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibfeFwFLYyAOFHVLjOgoFvfuSxQctaIasUBdM4F1TOT901IlBqjeF-mBkTJWohvgqx_zCPbszx88MuPBpQGmiS-x2i7TP9XmGRFIASjIdghWozUzfGMILCyLMk1gmoLyrHyzVlVLp1xvbl/s320/image2+%25283%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also stamped the dots using So Saffron to make them soft... and colored several of the dots with Wink of Stella to make them sparkle like morning... Impossible to see from the still photos, but I also made a few Wink of Stella dots on the vanilla to make it sparkle too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Be sure to hop over to <a href="http://inkedx2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Robbie</a> to see what she made using this great CARRYING OVER set!!</div>

So Fun! I loved this card made by my friend, Helen, so I copied and posted it for you.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNid3fA8IOQwbJpqjayjSmeDTMM_lg99mFTAW4eisvltoijZqBe9MjXqqwMh5xlR7ME802dsasKVOEFfS-U9BzKpladQMVEYsv8RePn33PqJxmOBc6_vI9BiKxRbwFquNEyU8czggx9ln1/s1600/image2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNid3fA8IOQwbJpqjayjSmeDTMM_lg99mFTAW4eisvltoijZqBe9MjXqqwMh5xlR7ME802dsasKVOEFfS-U9BzKpladQMVEYsv8RePn33PqJxmOBc6_vI9BiKxRbwFquNEyU8czggx9ln1/s320/image2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
But I don't think you can tell just how easy it really was... You could make stacks in minutes! So I thought it may help you if I did a quick video to show you how easy it really is... Here you go!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Thanks for stopping by!Amanda Frankelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14092697836297084365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725646052453849108.post-57533025548187926952017-03-23T10:18:00.001-05:002017-03-23T10:18:03.265-05:00Thursday Focus - Wait, What?? New Saleabration stuff??Yep, you heard right! Stampin' Up! has added a few new items to our Saleabration offerings for the last week of the special. My friends and I over at the Thursday focus have decided to hop through a bunch of ideas for you, using the newer Saleabration stull! Don't delay - if you see something you NEED, you need to jump on it right away - all Saleabration items are "while supplies last", and you only have until March 31 to snap them up!<br />
<br />
Here is what I have for you today:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_XGKKAyT7Y_M9pYthBlJ5blxYb0pt2d0JlH7DnQ2QeNZRuA4gk6qLItxNqTusrg00hj4umBsaZ-HEJyPe3Hn0uU0oOmIC5f0QH8-O1-pbmWtd-4wcwuvHHSWhJD3uXvktxVVt9kaEOk2M/s1600/image1+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_XGKKAyT7Y_M9pYthBlJ5blxYb0pt2d0JlH7DnQ2QeNZRuA4gk6qLItxNqTusrg00hj4umBsaZ-HEJyPe3Hn0uU0oOmIC5f0QH8-O1-pbmWtd-4wcwuvHHSWhJD3uXvktxVVt9kaEOk2M/s400/image1+%25282%2529.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There are actually two of the new Saleabration items in this card - do you see them? One of them is the Seaside embossing folder, and the other is the Tasty Treats designer series paper!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXKqseD35Hb7RuTJXd_EaGKwRwoc8asoRdk5ajw0PSrL_LhXwP6rHNfdrS5Iyucimuhz2wLHvHtj_UesYAf5yJuw4tkCqpOcb_yfFH_MwX3RpY5MmlO-2xQmgZ_JHyJYE7bkPs6fL4aMUY/s1600/image2+%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXKqseD35Hb7RuTJXd_EaGKwRwoc8asoRdk5ajw0PSrL_LhXwP6rHNfdrS5Iyucimuhz2wLHvHtj_UesYAf5yJuw4tkCqpOcb_yfFH_MwX3RpY5MmlO-2xQmgZ_JHyJYE7bkPs6fL4aMUY/s320/image2+%25281%2529.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
When I first saw that paper, I thought the images may be too child like for anything that I would need in an entire pack of paper, but did you know our papers are all double-sided? Usually, if one side has a larger bold print, then the back side has a softer, more subtle effect... I am using the "B" side here (only you old people like me know what a B side is...).<br />
Here is what I used to make this card:<br />
<br />
<div>
<div>
<div id="d51221c8-d845-4af1-be32-416314f453b3">
<iframe allowtransparency="true" class="iframe-showcase" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" src="https://mystampinblog.com/Showcase/Details/93d59e65-7e1f-40f5-9b12-f89840900a95?layout=Tiled&showSku=True&showPrice=True&showDownload=True&transparent=False&bordered=True&hFontHeight=14&rFontHeight=13&imageHeight=120&middleContent=False" style="width: 100%;"></iframe></div>
<script src="https://mystampinblog.com/Script/ShowcaseDetailsScript"></script></div>
</div>
and here are the rest of the new Saleabration offerings:<br />
<br />

<script src="https://mystampinblog.com/Script/ShowcaseDetailsScript"></script></div>
</div>
<br />
Now be sure to hop over to <a href="http://inkedx2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Robbie</a> and see what she has for you! Please stop back on Monday for Movie Monday, where I will be showing you the quick and dirty (not so dirty) way I made yesterday's card! Thanks for hopping along!Amanda Frankelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14092697836297084365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725646052453849108.post-83529393899726847652017-03-22T00:07:00.000-05:002017-03-22T00:07:36.719-05:00Coloring Down the Lines - CASEing your friends...Good morning and welcome to our Wednesday morning Coloring Down the Lines blog hop! It has been a pretty crazy week around here! If you are just popping by, be sure to scroll down too... I had a post last night, that was for the Thailand Achievers Blog hop... There are tons of good ideas out there - that is for sure!<br />
<br />
Today we had a super fun challenge... find some project on the next person in line's blog, and CASE it. CASE, for those of you who may not be familiar with that term, it means Copy And Share Everything! I had fun browsing through Helen's website to see what I wanted to case... and boy, is she one talented lady...<br />
<br />
Here is the card I found on Helen's blog:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2oBNxpjFiaY033CjC3XJaOHdkhMaCwXPAF_QUcNA1bsKAfByRXLRoghJiJO4Iq0qLqLT46q_73DqzGZu51i4vdcZ3cJhePSZQPUneXi-Kj7xpvW0nqHs_BenRJrSBQRhvoPwtffZTQlCh/s1600/helen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="279" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2oBNxpjFiaY033CjC3XJaOHdkhMaCwXPAF_QUcNA1bsKAfByRXLRoghJiJO4Iq0qLqLT46q_73DqzGZu51i4vdcZ3cJhePSZQPUneXi-Kj7xpvW0nqHs_BenRJrSBQRhvoPwtffZTQlCh/s320/helen.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
cute, right?<br />
Well, I wanted to make a quick card like this too, but instead of using the same colors she did, I changed it up a bit, and only made one color of the flower - I just stamped off part of the time to make it look like there were different ones... See??<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVJmmeu5PewOa3NfTU_CW40qC334eYm9Vfk1-eL2p8juZyzU4EEe9If05j6jywKpbU1D_WtFaJoW8REkXylPqXZmDql2CcrRcRBGa_IB6l06HT4-Uogm90Oa7W7uODkDE1iEq4ZhXVgp3/s1600/image3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVJmmeu5PewOa3NfTU_CW40qC334eYm9Vfk1-eL2p8juZyzU4EEe9If05j6jywKpbU1D_WtFaJoW8REkXylPqXZmDql2CcrRcRBGa_IB6l06HT4-Uogm90Oa7W7uODkDE1iEq4ZhXVgp3/s320/image3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_1738233945"></span><br />
This was Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi. I love how it turned out... then I got excited and did it in another color too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNbVPjcuCQv8LU-KYJtGCDPOWQtAud6KhIZXALEvGhHbOh12xhjJG7-6ZAPFrTHEryKIemXmNGRGunJAuWSc7WHsQgf4G0Fm8RCAxR5EjIfQlq3ez1-iexexbSJOkFBArTa-khi5e5jSYv/s1600/image2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNbVPjcuCQv8LU-KYJtGCDPOWQtAud6KhIZXALEvGhHbOh12xhjJG7-6ZAPFrTHEryKIemXmNGRGunJAuWSc7WHsQgf4G0Fm8RCAxR5EjIfQlq3ez1-iexexbSJOkFBArTa-khi5e5jSYv/s320/image2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This one is Watermelon Wonder!<br />
I had so much fun playing with Helen's design, that I made a quick video on it... Wanna watch it? Well, you will have to wait until Movie Monday! Be sure to stop back next week and I will give you all of the tips, tricks, and sizes of everything I used!<br />
<br />
Be sure to hop over to <a href="http://bluedahliadesigns.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Helen</a> right now and see who (and what) SHE cased! Thanks for stopping by - be sure to come back tomorrow to follow along with our Thursday Focus and see what products we have decided to use to inspire you!Amanda Frankelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14092697836297084365noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725646052453849108.post-29907301203120843262017-03-21T17:00:00.000-05:002017-03-21T17:00:05.466-05:00March Thailand Achievers Blog Hop <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Last Call for Saleabration</h2>
Can you believe it? Saleabration is almost done for the year... (*sniff sniff*). As excited as I am to see what new fun will come with the new catalog launching in June, I am sad to see this great special end... We had some fabulous offerings this year, several of which are already sold out!! I thought I would show you one more project in my Reverse Words series.<br />
You may have seen this one that I posted not long ago:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So fun when you combine the Mixed Drinks stamp set with this Reverse words set! You could easily make a stack of these cards in 10 minutes!<br />

<br />
<br />
Be sure to hop along here, and feel free to stop back and check out all of the "ingredients" in this project! Again, my name is Amanda Frankel, so that is where you are right now in the list..I wonder what the next Achiever will show you about the Saleabration item they may miss!<br />

Stop back tomorrow to see what our Coloring Down the Lines group is up to this week!Amanda Frankelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14092697836297084365noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725646052453849108.post-88969589166283716182017-03-16T00:00:00.000-05:002017-03-16T07:29:39.316-05:00Thursday Focus - New Saleabration additions!I am getting a little bit weepy thinking about the end of Saleabration. This is about the time that it hits me that it is almost over... we have to wait a whole year for it to come again... *sniff sniff*... So, if there was anything you saw, in either the Saleabration catalog, or in the new additions that you couldn't live without... then jump now, before it is So long, Saleabration!!<br />
<br />
This week's focus for our gang is something from the new additions to the Saleabration selections! There are three new items to choose from, and they are all pretty cool! <a href="http://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/Sale-A-Bration_2017/SAB_2017_2nd%20Release_US.pdf" target="_blank">Click HERE to see them all!</a><br />
<br />
Here is the very simple card we made in class the other day. As simple as this card is, it got rave reviews from the whole class! Everyone loved how elegant it looked (and how easy it was to make!)... Who couldn't use a stamp set like that in their stamp stash? Check this out:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmSYy853yEehv1WT_lKX2hvyhdGeTBEN-NhZvDN8rX4ZCqahZIrQcwcGfUttkt4_20apcS68y04Q52c_Qi-7tvCsFJVV0DiVJeI_ZPaCKfJNAEH2F5bSLzLkZZ57PN0iKSM1GoJa_zse31/s1600/cheers1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmSYy853yEehv1WT_lKX2hvyhdGeTBEN-NhZvDN8rX4ZCqahZIrQcwcGfUttkt4_20apcS68y04Q52c_Qi-7tvCsFJVV0DiVJeI_ZPaCKfJNAEH2F5bSLzLkZZ57PN0iKSM1GoJa_zse31/s400/cheers1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Soft and elegant, right? It could be the pink champagne-like color of Blushing Bride, that makes this one so classy, but I am telling you, this set is fun in just about every color you choose. Here I have used the Blushing Bride cardstock, inkpad, and even the Blushing Bride sequin trim... (I just plucked a few sequins off the end and stuck them on here... See?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivC0Zj83it7i2q-Z2ivNLQ_kVylarPzz87FRaKbuUV5E2FAaHN79fVsD5OTxzw-YDIt7jLmAYcPGQ05JzafONGHrGaZBPs91XRVjauoGkJMjAOuPhY2To7gBzXLJlVFkRL7ZNif_ub6jO2/s1600/cheers2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivC0Zj83it7i2q-Z2ivNLQ_kVylarPzz87FRaKbuUV5E2FAaHN79fVsD5OTxzw-YDIt7jLmAYcPGQ05JzafONGHrGaZBPs91XRVjauoGkJMjAOuPhY2To7gBzXLJlVFkRL7ZNif_ub6jO2/s320/cheers2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
There really are so many possibilities with this set! I just made a great video (that is uploading right now), showing so many other fun projects! Be sure to check back here on Monday, 3\20 to see the video! In the meantime, be sure to hop along to <a href="http://flyingstamper.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Deb- the Flying Stampe</a>r to see what she has for you from the new Saleabration release! We keep the same item for two consecutive weeks to double your ideas! <br />
<br />
So last week I showed you how I made the fun chicken wire for my Hey Chick card, and this week I am going to share with you a card that we made recently at my team meeting. The initial card was designed by one of my fabulous team mates, Martha Coronado, who is a great teacher and demonstrator. She led our gang through the making of this card too. <br />
<br />
I made a few modifications to her card to suit the supplies I had, and my style a bit. Let me show you the card I made:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoPZujfZld9O4kPFFugH6yQgIahEP3CG7J39-COHR_PWimRDHXDLHuXLHu7A8V95jr26ERL9oSLkDDPBp6_J6QhbcoemNPK5fZxdtlkyXfMl9OYbDsUjUB80GvbyFAZnhXqz5yzgxLB5cV/s1600/hey1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoPZujfZld9O4kPFFugH6yQgIahEP3CG7J39-COHR_PWimRDHXDLHuXLHu7A8V95jr26ERL9oSLkDDPBp6_J6QhbcoemNPK5fZxdtlkyXfMl9OYbDsUjUB80GvbyFAZnhXqz5yzgxLB5cV/s400/hey1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
okay - so she used a different color yellow (she used Daffodil, but I used Crushed Curry)... In her card, she also used the Urban Underground designer series paper, but I hadn't received mine yet so I made my own "lines" pattern using the Gorgeous Grunge set. She used the colored enamel pieces as accents, but I didn't have those, so I used the Metallic sequins... I added the amazing metalic ribbon from Saleabration, and used the Layering Squares dies too, because I liked the "ruffled" edge as a frame... Here are some more views:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMYe9RXHr-CBHZQ8pJxHfenJbnMGAP98bI2XQ3k0TLnRtxteFaWmCgWBvYln8fxLxbXg_W9bEhQ36l5X33-lecR5WbAIi-h-EBhngSYTxWuwC5QD1wQa7DY3Bfx1ADOrqPrftneMmEUeBY/s1600/hey2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMYe9RXHr-CBHZQ8pJxHfenJbnMGAP98bI2XQ3k0TLnRtxteFaWmCgWBvYln8fxLxbXg_W9bEhQ36l5X33-lecR5WbAIi-h-EBhngSYTxWuwC5QD1wQa7DY3Bfx1ADOrqPrftneMmEUeBY/s320/hey2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In the view below, you can see that I distressed the ends of the ribbon on the knot... I did that to make it appear more "country fun"!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMpAQoLKFC4oW8U-T8b7UCkKZFz030QpfXojMjIpNXO3zg5Rm7Xvro2EsDV54T3q00KDMkNhJnTPv8GUJS8s47dZrxBTvkIlf6_dtNKkXPG0us0s-MP9a0Js3i1J7vKmbCdgwbvJHifhDe/s1600/hey3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMpAQoLKFC4oW8U-T8b7UCkKZFz030QpfXojMjIpNXO3zg5Rm7Xvro2EsDV54T3q00KDMkNhJnTPv8GUJS8s47dZrxBTvkIlf6_dtNKkXPG0us0s-MP9a0Js3i1J7vKmbCdgwbvJHifhDe/s320/hey3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In the supplies area below that has the links, I will list the supplies she used as well as mine so you can easily access them in the store, but I figured out how to earn TWO free Salebration items for this card, and used them both here too!<br />
<br />

Today in our blog hop we are doing something fun and different! We were all supposed to find something on Pinterest that inspired us, and CASE it! Well, you would think that would be easy - because don't we all have a million cards pinned? But which one to make... now that was the sticking point! <br />
<br />
Not so hard once I saw this card by Anne Schach. This card just screamed elegance to me!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ6kO7gkwDTREWQfag1iPNMx8_gSmiZY5K6fp0YO7GlqvAPIkoVDLhIx0cchCMzOvaslsUtLnCURfXBAc6bTf-QMzkC_TG1Q5xqgb6TNY1rx4xT3japaGgnkgbtlqkgkAo_6M2prcZo0n3/s1600/dragonfly.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ6kO7gkwDTREWQfag1iPNMx8_gSmiZY5K6fp0YO7GlqvAPIkoVDLhIx0cchCMzOvaslsUtLnCURfXBAc6bTf-QMzkC_TG1Q5xqgb6TNY1rx4xT3japaGgnkgbtlqkgkAo_6M2prcZo0n3/s320/dragonfly.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I love the hidden detailed dragonfly beneath the stamped one... such a shiny surprise! You can just barely see it peeking out from the underside in the photo below!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDyu2Y7uPqCJlvSf3wiruimC04OzshlBSm-oL4ZP0WJEEPybA1XS6LqPuSs-30dmAPkTgJsOkIaFdKyMCquQw7Z8WO6s5r7Ox0P0Cf8KFI-vm2gT-Ts4IbUpDmLtKWBhIdijIJuU09sxpx/s1600/dragonfly1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDyu2Y7uPqCJlvSf3wiruimC04OzshlBSm-oL4ZP0WJEEPybA1XS6LqPuSs-30dmAPkTgJsOkIaFdKyMCquQw7Z8WO6s5r7Ox0P0Cf8KFI-vm2gT-Ts4IbUpDmLtKWBhIdijIJuU09sxpx/s320/dragonfly1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I did make some alterations - I removed a few layers, omitted some gold thread, and changed the shape from square to a normal sized card so that it would fit in a regular envelope - that just fits my needs better! I hope you love this card as much as I do, and I hope you find something on Pinterest that inspires you to create! It is Thursday, so you will get to see a new product that we will be focusing on for the next two weeks! This product is the Saleabration selection called Hey, Chick! It is a very fun little chicken set. I wasn't sure I was going to want this stamp set initially, it is pretty silly... but who doesn't have THAT FRIEND (you know, either the one who collects chickens, or the one who herself is a little silly)?? And now I am hooked... so I guess "that friend" is now ME!!<br />
<br />
Here is what I have for you:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvW-mUEhTkEcLkaKUencK2rJJEIy265D5iKRa17h23Qsn2nunH8Mh9t0JJLlpMzrmy7m8mjk00JmfSB2QwwBdyMK6Ae8ivWlqifaf3RX9qkFCRYkIRS38x8Lm2_rFCQldxuUhHBA-Y9JiL/s1600/chick1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvW-mUEhTkEcLkaKUencK2rJJEIy265D5iKRa17h23Qsn2nunH8Mh9t0JJLlpMzrmy7m8mjk00JmfSB2QwwBdyMK6Ae8ivWlqifaf3RX9qkFCRYkIRS38x8Lm2_rFCQldxuUhHBA-Y9JiL/s400/chick1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
this is obviously the crazy friend card! You know her??<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis5pbOxSRgDagdAcQ5C2XP3-OS6rbm2qjNLvMc5jdW3F5P2TwudvZNg3_LsGlM3JZziF3xCQ1JlbtjEaiQlYl_H6A4r74DzNeFIun6xXZXRf-ioJ94ubo_zNthg-HvcPK54BcuSn_Q5ZnQ/s1600/chick2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis5pbOxSRgDagdAcQ5C2XP3-OS6rbm2qjNLvMc5jdW3F5P2TwudvZNg3_LsGlM3JZziF3xCQ1JlbtjEaiQlYl_H6A4r74DzNeFIun6xXZXRf-ioJ94ubo_zNthg-HvcPK54BcuSn_Q5ZnQ/s320/chick2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
AND, because she is so crazy, you can do crazy things with her hair... nothing needs to be colored perfectly... I used my Crushed Curry and my Cherry Cobbler markers to color her and her hair.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLD40OlqEEv77Vk7fUueW9_0tmV7GPaP-5Gm49ofsadUNQGOs6K1t19H0uhq_MkSJNYHFlFnXdIQ-bgjZf9_-on0uURwoNiGpYHsw2P5Xje0qgDOJRc-hjFabK0URRxubWDWdHBRPugWRV/s1600/chick+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLD40OlqEEv77Vk7fUueW9_0tmV7GPaP-5Gm49ofsadUNQGOs6K1t19H0uhq_MkSJNYHFlFnXdIQ-bgjZf9_-on0uURwoNiGpYHsw2P5Xje0qgDOJRc-hjFabK0URRxubWDWdHBRPugWRV/s320/chick+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
and last but not least... How fun is this "chicken wire" for the background?? This is not printed paper - I did this! but how?? Well, I will show you... but you will have to come back on Monday for Movie Monday to see this great tip! It will open up a whole new world of options for you!<br />

Today is a little different for us. We decided that we should all branch out a bit, so this week's challenge was to enter our card in a <i>different</i> challenge website! Fun, Right? So the challenge I chose was over at <a href="http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com/2017/02/challenge-311.html" target="_blank">Try Stampin' On Tuesday</a>. This week they had a sketch challenge that I thought would be fun. Here was their sketch:<br />

I used some of the fun new Saleabration glimmer paper, which you really should check out... It comes in a pack of 6x6 paper, 4 sheets each of Bermuda Bay (shown here), Sweet Sugarplum, and Mint Macaron. Here's a closer view:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

and this great weather Together stamp set (that matches the Umbrella Weather framelit set), has some nice sentiments... I even added one to the inside (IKR??? - I almost never do that!) <br />

Today I wanted to share some fun with you! Every month I receive an all-inclusive papercrafting kit from Stampin' Up! This is called Paper Pumpkin. Each month the kit is a complete surprise - we've gotten treat containers, wall art, and mostly greeting cards in the past, but all of these kits come with the ink pads and stamp sets required to complete whatever projects we receive. Every month I host a free class (Paper Pumpkin Palooza), for all of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers, where I present, and we made an alternate project using the items from the kit. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTP1U2T6i8qO_enoYdPCHsw" target="_blank">Her is a link to my YouTube channel, where you can see alternate projects from past kits.</a> This month's kit was slider cards (or gift card holders). They were adorable, and came with inserts that you could use to make party invitations It was super cute, but I wanted to show my Palooza gang a different way to see the card. Here is what we made this month:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyes2srfWzB4I78XGLRvSlq9oMRHPCmI9OQplUomRprOl0d_u9fqrGvn61Pl14bkbSJXtxxppu5N3TItMTzsY-DaTQmNBQX2TW7-y_gkzbumBoQrfn6aKgevlGAs1QA3PrGRC56uD6C4ZW/s1600/PTII3776.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyes2srfWzB4I78XGLRvSlq9oMRHPCmI9OQplUomRprOl0d_u9fqrGvn61Pl14bkbSJXtxxppu5N3TItMTzsY-DaTQmNBQX2TW7-y_gkzbumBoQrfn6aKgevlGAs1QA3PrGRC56uD6C4ZW/s320/PTII3776.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
The gold triangle that holds the ribbon is the bottom part of the vase (which upside down makes the candle flame from the kit) - see here?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZkkFWcy4aCq4eKKcvv4vtJYbhRSY0IfQF1YBjmLxW7FajTi_0Pyffe7sP10698YWjJzPqcxdYQ6WftDdRBNdv0uAx18NHqSiULQP7yCr-2ENN_T1xw5W50htc__K98U9VOJEl2M3UssJ/s1600/IMG_3992.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZkkFWcy4aCq4eKKcvv4vtJYbhRSY0IfQF1YBjmLxW7FajTi_0Pyffe7sP10698YWjJzPqcxdYQ6WftDdRBNdv0uAx18NHqSiULQP7yCr-2ENN_T1xw5W50htc__K98U9VOJEl2M3UssJ/s320/IMG_3992.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
But my very favorite part of this project, is that you can actually pop the little flower panel out of this card and use it for another project - you could stick it on another card, use it in a scrapbook, but I am sure around here it would become a bookmark! Look at this:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh07kzBtZotR1OEokdN-sUDqvCkyMUHn4ARcXRf41tjioNLHWganSlNuq8WsaK7s5RkAmksDMwAs31mHgk_Uvny30VbhVGFWNpaSQJ9EMCft9-v7sgP1JnJBSmTUs2wMCoKDWKlmDF9BOko/s1600/image2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh07kzBtZotR1OEokdN-sUDqvCkyMUHn4ARcXRf41tjioNLHWganSlNuq8WsaK7s5RkAmksDMwAs31mHgk_Uvny30VbhVGFWNpaSQJ9EMCft9-v7sgP1JnJBSmTUs2wMCoKDWKlmDF9BOko/s320/image2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Certainly no part of this kit goes to waste! I made a <a href="https://youtu.be/zzG7hDcLNzM" target="_blank">video</a> to show you how to make this project, and how to use every little scrap to save your supplies. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i9.ytimg.com/vi/zzG7hDcLNzM/default.jpg?sqp=CPDI0cUF&rs=AOn4CLCMwNihsC_T6ANi_dDgrxV6yxF3hw" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zzG7hDcLNzM?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
If you would like to get a trial of this kit, Stampin' Up! has a great promotion running right now. You can get 3 prepaid months (that means you would get one kit for the next three months), you can do so for the special price of $55! This is a bargain! If you live near me, you will also be eligible to attend my Palooza class! AND, since it is Saleabration time right now, you would get to pick a free item from our great Saleabration brochure - stamps, papers, accessories - what will you choose? <br />
<br />
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy this project!Amanda Frankelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14092697836297084365noreply@blogger.com0
